2020 marks the 4th year of the Women in Technology Awards and the Technology Council of Central Pennsylvania’s continued commitment to celebrating women who are innovators, role models, trailblazers and inspirations within the technology community throughout our region. The event also awards scholarships to female students pursuing STEM disciplines at regional colleges and universities to support and encourage the development of the next generation of talent. The Women In Technology Awards is part of the Technology Council of Central Pennsylvania's broader Women In Technology initiative that strives to create an inclusive and level playing field regardless of gender within the technology industry.
In light of the Governor’s guidance on limiting large events to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, this year’s Women In Tech Awards will be a 100% Virtual event.
This year’s virtual event features Jasmine Brooks with CBS21 as our live emcee. The event itself will combine networking with the recognition of this year’s award winners and scholarship recipients using Remo. By virtually moving from one table to another to connect with others in attendance via private video chats, this year’s WIT Awards VIP Reception and Main Event will replicate an in-person networking event and live program in a virtual environment.
