Women In Tech is an action-oriented initiative of the Technology Council of Central Pennsylvania with a clear goal – creating an inclusive and level playing field regardless of gender within the Central Pennsylvania technology industry. Our current efforts include quarterly Women In Tech Breakfast programming sessions, quarterly Women In Tech ChatHER virtual peer connection sessions, our annual Women In Tech Awards event and our annual Women In Tech Mentoring program. Our quarterly events provide a variety of forums for learning, discussion, debate, collaboration and action. We believe this isn’t just a woman-issue or a man-issue, but an everyone-issue and is one that can only be overcome when we all work together.

Throughout her career, Shanice Mariluz has often found herself as the only woman, the only person of color, or the only leader with a nontraditional path to technology in the room. While that came with challenges, it also revealed the power of representation to inspire confidence, expand possibilities, and create opportunities for others.
In this session, Shanice shares lessons learned throughout her leadership career on confidence, authenticity, and influence, and how embracing what makes us different can become one of our greatest strengths. Through personal stories and practical insights, attendees will be encouraged to lead boldly, own their unique path, and recognize that their presence may be opening doors they will never see.
The impact of representation isn’t measured by who notices you. It’s measured by who believes more is possible because they saw you.
🥐 Breakfast will be provided, so arrive early, grab a seat, meet someone new, and start your day fueled by both great food and even better conversation.
We are proud to present the Women In Tech Breakfast series with the generous support of our 2026 series sponsor, Capital Blue Cross, whose commitment helps make these meaningful community experiences possible.
